Dill Hall Surgery has a small team of dedicated staff.

Nurses

Nurse R Stubbs (f)

Our Practice Nurse is fully qualified and registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council. She can help you with health issues such as healthy living advice and blood pressure checks. She also runs clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma and diabetes as well as carrying out cervical smears.

Health Practitioners

In addition to our practice team, we also work with healthcare professionals employed under the Hyndburn Rural Primary Care Network.

This means that local GP Practices have access to a small pool of staff, trained in professions that actively support the needs of our local population.

Our Reception staff, GP or Nurse may refer you to one of these staff members to support you with your health.

Clinical Pharmacist : Offer medication reviews.

First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) : The FCP can support you with the majority of your MSK problems such as knee, shoulder, arm, leg or back pain. The FCP cannot issue medication, but they can ask the GP to do this following your consultation. The FCP can assess you and facilitate a referral to hospital services if appropriate.

GP Assistant (GPA) : We have 2 GP Assistants who undertake blood tests, NHS Health Checks and Hypertension Reviews.

Health and Wellbeing Coach : Offers coaching sessions on a range of issues including weight, diet, stress, low mood and persistent pain. This is a non-clinical role, so not able to provide diagnosis, clinical treatment or medical advice, however can refer patients to clinical practitioners if needed.

Physician Associates (PA) : Can carry out Mental Health, Learning Disability and Dementia reviews

Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) : The MHP can support you with aspects of your Mental Health if you are not currently under a Mental Health Team.
